You know me as a Dane in Spain - but my real name is Dorte Holm Jensen.I have been writing poetry in my mother tongue, which is Danish, since I was 12 years old. I even published a collection of poems years back...but now finally - I am coming out of the "Poetry-Closet" in English.
Why Write Poems or Why It Can Be Hard Not To
A spring of truth
a river of unsolved mysteries
a stream of blurred images
pushing - expanding
bursting it’s way out
through the membrane of
the soul
and transforms into words
A poor representation
a transformation
to the external world
which has its price
but is a necessary
almost involuntary
clarification process
which can not be stopped
